The Sales Operations Analyst position provides reporting and analysis for sales and marketing distribution (LAD) leadership to aid in decision making and to ensure performance management standards toward business priorities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Power BI Dashboards & Scheduled Reporting – Design, build, distribute, and support sales dashboards and reports, primarily using Microsoft Power BI, Excel (including Power Pivot & Power Query), and SQL.
Requires working closely with non-technical sales distribution teams to understand reporting needs, generate meaningful insights, and interpret the results.
Ad Hoc Reporting & Analysis – Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis.
Often entails querying data marts via SQL or an OLAP cube and presenting results via Excel or PowerPoint.
May require working with limited guidance or documentation.
Interface with IT – Work with IT to drive maturation and evolution of reporting infrastructure and BI platforms (primarily Power BI).
Partner Relationships - Own and Drive Relationships with Analytics Customers (Sales staff, Sales Management, Sr. Sales Leadership)
Contributes to Analytics Vision and Strategy, both Establishment and Execution

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree required

- concentration in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, Technology or a related discipline preferred.
2 years analytical experience strongly preferred, or equivalent skillset as determined by Director.
Strong technical skills required, including (but not limited to):
Intermediate knowledge of Excel required, ideally including Power Pivot and Power Query.
Microsoft Power BI experience a plus.
SQL experience preferred.
Must possess very strong attention to detail.
Ability to perform duties with high degree of autonomy, accuracy, precision and efficiency required.
Excellent team player with strong collaborative skills.
Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
Strong work ethic with drive to overcome challenges.
Insurance industry experience preferred.

Protective’s targeted salary range for this position is $59,500 to $87,300. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors, including but not limited to, job location, skills, and experience. The range listed is just one component of Protective’s total compensation package for employees.

This position also offers additional incentive opportunities through an annual incentive based on individual and Company performance.
