About the role - We are now seeking an experienced and driven Chief Revenue Officer to play a crucial role in building and scaling revenue streams for Zero. You will share our vision and want to be a key player in building a commercially successful company
Accountabilities And Responsibilities
- Develop and implement commercial strategies according to Zero goals and objectives to achieve tangible results
- Collaborate with executive team to agree and set revenue goals and strategy
- Identify new revenue opportunities and develop plans to target and capture these opportunities
- Lead revenue-generating activity
- Develop and implement robust sales strategies to drive revenue growth
- Monitor performance of commercial activities using key metrics
- Maintain and build trusted relationships with key customers, clients, partners, and stakeholders
- Understand the requirements of existing customers to ensure their needs are being met
- Work closely with the Marketing team to ensure marketing strategy directly impacts investment and sales performance.
Special challenges
Zero is a disruptor in the energy sector. It requires significant capex to scale and requires investors and customers who share our vision and are willing and able to support our growth. The role holder will need to ensure that the pipeline of funding required is delivered to reduce uncertainty within the business and optimise our speed of delivery of strategic goals.
Scope or scale
Global role focusing immediately on gasoline markets; US and other international opportunities. Leadership of the Commercial Directors (currently a team of 3)
Essential
Job knowledge, skills and experiences
- Proven experience as a Chief Revenue Officer or equivalent role
- Proven delivery of raising significant investment (>$30m) for start-up organisations
- International fund-raising experience including US
- Strong knowledge of market research, sales and negotiating principles
- Excellent team player
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
Desirable
- Experience in marketing to generate investment and sales
- Knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics.

This is a critical role for Zero – as a technology led start up in an emerging sector the biggest challenge is attracting levels of funding to get to a position where we can be truly commercial.
