Senior Vice President, Client Development and Commercial Strategy
SciPro has partnered with a series A clinical stage biotech who is looking for a Head of Operations to join their executive team (VP or SVP level) who has a previous track record of scaling operations quickly from early-stage R&D to late-stage clinical trials while maintaining high standards.
They are looking for someone to lead and manage day-to-day business operations, ensuring fast, efficient execution across teams and seamless collaboration with external partners (e.g., legal, vendors). Responsibilities include:
Drive the scaling of operations from pre-IND to clinical stages
Provide the operational backbone for rapid clinical trial execution, regulatory approvals, and accelerated product development.
Lead contract negotiations with CROs, CDMOs, and key service providers, optimizing for speed, cost, quality, and timelines and oversee vendor selection, performance management, and strategic partnerships to ensure high-quality execution at scale.
Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance tracking, ensuring swift response to changing business needs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred).
10+ years of progressive leadership in business operations - experience overseeing multiple operational functions.
Vendor management experience
A minimum of 5 years in biotech/pharma - understanding industry regulations, clinical trials, and development and manufacturing related activities.
