The CFO/Head of Finance (title commensurate with experience) will play a key role in building the finance and accounting functions, reporting directly to the CEO. This individual will drive financial strategy, operational efficiency and profitability while overseeing key functions, including financial planning, accounting, IT, and treasury. As the first senior finance leader, this role offers a unique opportunity to shape the company's strategic direction and support its ambitious growth objectives.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES
Develop and execute financial strategies that promote business growth and operational efficiency
Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
Build, lead and mentor the finance and accounting teams to meet growing demands as business expands its
geographic footprint in both company-owned and franchise locations
Manage comprehensive accounting functions, including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting and
Revenue Recognition
Provide strategic analyses to support new business development and de novo initiatives
Prepare and present timely and accurate monthly financial statements
Collaborate with the executive team to drive strategic initiatives and business transformation
Lead the preparation of quarterly board materials
Collaborate closely with the private equity partner to ensure alignment with investment goals
Manage relationships with Board of Directors, auditors, and other stakeholders
Lead financial due diligence and integration for acquisitions
Perform other duties as assigned
KEY COMPETENCIES

Displays proficiency in financial software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
Education And Experience
15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, including prior M&A or CFO roles (strong preference for candidates with both)
Proven expertise in operations finance with a hands-on approach and success in fast-paced, high-growth environments
Strong executive presence, with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization, from the boardroom to the classroom
Passion for vocational training, education, and the commercial transportation industry
CPA and/or MBA preferred
Prior experience with private equity-backed companies, vocational or educational services, or transportation and logistics is highly desirable
Physical Requirements
Ability to spend prolonged periods of time standing, speaking, walking, driving, writing, and/or sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift at least 15 pounds at a time
Perform work with OSHA required PPE; Including COVID19 PPE

Compensation
Base Rate: $200,000-$250,000 per year
Bonus & Equity: This role offers eligibility for both a performance-based bonus and an equity stake in the company, providing an opportunity to share in our success and growth.
