The City Recruiter is hiring on behalf of our client, a rapidly growing leader in the litigation finance sector specialising in small consumer claims. We’re looking for an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their executive leadership team and drive their financial strategy forward.

About the Role

As CFO, you’ll play a critical role in shaping the financial future of the business. This position requires a seasoned finance leader with a strong background in raising finance and debt, managing regulatory compliance, and overseeing financial governance and controls.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Leading financial strategy, planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Overseeing fundraising efforts, including equity and debt financing, to support business growth.
• Managing regulatory compliance, particularly with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA).
• Developing tax strategies and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
• Implementing robust financial governance, risk management, and controls.
• Managing investor relations and liaising with banks and financial institutions.
• Supporting international expansion by establishing scalable financial frameworks.
• Leading a high-performing finance team.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience as a CFO or senior finance leader in financial services, litigation finance, or a regulated industry.
• Strong corporate finance experience, including fundraising, debt financing, and capital structuring.
• Experience working with corporate finance advisers on transactions (M&A, IPO, MBO/MBI).
• Knowledge of FCA and SRA regulatory requirements.
• Experience scaling financial operations internationally.
• ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent finance qualification.
• Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management skills.
