Chief Financial Officer

This is one of those opportunities to really make your mark! We are seeking a dynamic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial transformation of a mid-market PE-backed distributor based in Ontario, CA that is looking to grow organically and through acquisition. This CFO will partner with legacy leadership of this well-established business, which has recently taken on private equity sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build out a strong Accounting & Finance Foundation: Develop auditable accounting processes, both post-close and ongoing, and lender reporting decks.
• Partner with Leadership: Serve as a strategic advisor to the executive team, driving cross-functional initiatives and long-term planning.
• Build a Rockstar Finance Function: Build a high-performing Finance team with the right skills, capabilities, and motivation.
• Ensure Alignment around the Value Creation Plan: Partner with PE stakeholders to meet financial and operational objectives.
• Lead Financial Systems Transformation: Evaluate, select, and implement new financial systems to drive scalability and efficiency.
• Drive M&A Activities: Oversee bolt-on acquisitions, including due diligence, integration, and alignment with overall strategy.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a CFO within product distribution or related industries.
• Track record of leading finance transformations and system migrations.
• Hands-on M&A experience, including integration and synergy realization.
• Leadership experience in private equity environments, ideally with successful exits.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and business partnering skills.
• Willingness to relocate or commute to the HQ in Ontario, CA.
