Position Summary
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key member of the senior leadership team and plays a critical role in ensuring the financial health of the organization. This role oversees all financial planning, budgeting, revenue cycle management, and strategic decision-making to ensure operational efficiency and compliance. The CFO partners with the CEO and executive leadership to maximize revenue, diversify contracts, and explore new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and risk management.
Ensure financial compliance with internal controls, audits, and regulatory requirements.
Oversee revenue cycle management and ensure timely collections while minimizing bad debt.
Develop and implement financial strategies to support organizational growth and sustainability.
Lead contract negotiations with managed care organizations and external vendors.
Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and senior leadership team on financial and operational matters.
Collaborate with the Board of Directors and Finance Committee, providing accurate financial reports and recommendations.
Optimize financial performance by identifying cost-saving opportunities and revenue-enhancing strategies.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or CPA preferred).
10+ years of senior-level financial leadership experience, preferably in a healthcare, behavioral health, or nonprofit setting.
Strong experience in healthcare reimbursement, revenue cycle management, and financial operations.
Demonstrated success in managed care contract negotiations.
Deep knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, capital financing, and compliance.
Ability to think strategically, lead change, and drive innovation.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to build and motivate high-performing teams.
Excellent analytical, communication, and decision-making skills.
