Placers Professional is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for a well-established, mid-sized service providing company in Newark, DE.

Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the organization’s daily accounting functions.
  • Managing the accounting, payroll, AP, and AR departments.
  • Providing strategic guidance in financial decision-making.
  • Provide guidance for driver services and trucks
  • Regular communication and reporting to Senior Management.
  • Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements.
  • Overseeing external audit activities.
  • Managing the budget process.
  • Assessing and improving current accounting operations by implementing new processes.
  • Developing and monitoring financial performance metrics.
  • Ensuring regulatory reporting, including tax planning and compliance.
  • Hiring, training, and retaining accounting staff.
  • Managing risk through oversight of various insurance products.
  • Overseeing vendor relationships for computer systems.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 7-10 years of experience in accounting/Management roles for small to mid-sized companies with an annual revenue of over $25 million
  • Accounting software experience in Great Plains preferred or experience in equivalent software
  • Prior Public Accounting experience a plus
  • Must have Advanced Excel skills
  • CPA preferred
  • Experience managing direct reports/departments of A/P, A/R, and Billing
