They need an experienced finance professional during a critical period of transformation to bridge a gap until a thorough search for a permanent hire is complete. The Interim CFO will work closely with the CEO as a strategic thought partner on key corporate initiatives, manage through the year end process and serve as a true partner to operational leaders to ensure profitable growth. Key Accountabilities:
Coach, lead, engage. and inspire the finance team through a period of transition.
Oversee and manage all controllership, FP&A, tax, and treasury functions.
Evaluate existing financial processes and identify opportunities to enhance efficiency.
Provide insights to the CEO as a strategic advisor to elevate the sophistication and impact of the finance function.
Collaborate with senior management in aligning short-term and long-term financial goals and developing revenue, profitability, and growth targets.
Assess the financial strategy and make recommendations to the CEO.
Produce insightful monthly financial reports and quarterly board presentations.
Ensure continued compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies.
Partner with the external auditors and audit committee to finalize the year end audit.
Identify and mitigate financial risks through proactive analysis and recommendations.
Work closely with the private equity group providing them with critical insights and analysis.
Collaborate closely with operational leaders on spending approvals, cost management, resource planning, headcount additions, and operational improvements.
Ensure a high degree of transparency and robust analysis on risk, performance, and projections.
As a key member of the leadership team, go beyond the Finance function to provide value to the business.
Competencies and Requirements:
A proven CFO who has successfully managed finance teams within high growth businesses.
CA/CPA designation required.
Ideal candidate has experience in healthcare services or hospitality sectors.
Experience working with private equity-backed companies.
Collaborative. A true collaborator who can actively contribute as a member of the senior executive team.
Engaged, authentic and enthusiastic about the business. High integrity.
Balances entrepreneurial energy with the right amount of structure and support to meet the operational needs of the business.
Ability to focus and lead others towards value creation. Demonstrated success at building teams and creating followership.
Elevated level of financial sophistication.
Proven partner in the executive leadership group with a reputation as a “doer” working alongside his/her team within the business.
Superior analytical skills. Has demonstrated the ability to be a quick study in coming to understand a business and its triggers or leverage points. Brings an inquisitive mind and intellectual curiosity.
