Position Overview
We are seeking a strategic, operationally minded Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead all aspects of the company’s financial strategy and execution. The CFO will work closely with the CEO and private equity sponsors to scale operations, improve clinic-level performance, and drive long-term enterprise value. This is a high-impact opportunity for a hands-on finance leader to help shape the trajectory of a dynamic healthcare services platform.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Leadership
Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with growth plans, clinical expansion, and value-based care initiatives.
Advise the CEO and Board on capital allocation, business planning, and long-term financial objectives.
Operational Finance Oversight
Lead core finance functions including FP&A, accounting, revenue cycle management, treasury, and tax.
Implement robust clinic-level reporting to track key metrics such as patient volume, reimbursement rates, provider productivity, and payer mix.
Private Equity Partnership
Act as the primary financial liaison to private equity sponsors, providing accurate and timely reporting, dashboards, and actionable insights.
Support board materials, lender communications, and long-term value creation planning.
Performance & Profitability Improvement
Monitor financial and operational KPIs across clinics to identify opportunities for margin improvement, labor optimization, and cost containment.
Drive strategic initiatives to improve cash flow, reimbursement rates, and provider performance.
Forecasting & Budgeting
Lead the budgeting process and build dynamic forecasting models to support expansion plans and capital investments.
Introduce tools and processes to enhance financial visibility and forecasting accuracy across the organization.
M&A and Integration
Manage the financial due diligence process and lead post-close integration planning and execution.
Build scalable systems and processes to support an aggressive M&A pipeline.
Team Leadership
Develop and mentor a high-performing finance team capable of supporting a growing national platform.
Create a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
Compliance & Controls
Ensure compliance with GAAP, healthcare-specific financial regulations, and internal control frameworks.
Oversee audit readiness and risk management initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA and/or MBA strongly preferred.
15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, including 5+ years as CFO or senior financial executive in a PE-backed healthcare services or multi-site clinical environment.
Deep understanding of healthcare business models, reimbursement, RCM, and unit economics in outpatient settings.
Proven experience scaling operations, leading M&A, and partnering with PE sponsors.
Strong knowledge of financial systems, KPIs, and data-driven decision making.
Compensation and Benefits
Competitive base salary of $275,000 - $315,000, plus performance-based bonus and equity participation.
