Chief Financial Officer
This job is hybrid and candidates must be available to work in one of our COE locations: Tampa, FL; Denver, CO; DC metro area, SF Bay area, Austin, TX
Deepwatch is seeking a dynamic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead its finance organization and act as a key business partner to CEO John DiLullo and the senior leadership team. The CFO will play a crucial role in scaling Deepwatch’s high-growth business, ensuring financial excellence, and driving strategic decision-making in a rapidly evolving cybersecurity market.
This executive will oversee all financial operations while also leading the Business Intelligence function. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in high-growth, PE-backed technology or cybersecurity companies, with expertise in recurring revenue models and potential IPO readiness.
In this role, you'll get to:
- Financial Leadership & Strategy: Develop and execute financial strategies that accelerate growth while maintaining fiscal discipline.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure compliance, clean audits, proper financial controls, and timely, accurate financial reporting.
- Business Intelligence: Lead financial planning, accounting, and business analytics.
- M&A: Drive M&A activities, and financial due diligence to support Deepwatch’s expansion.
- Board & Investor Relations: Prepare and present financial reports, key strategic initiatives, and metrics to the Board, investors, and executive leadership.
- Team Development: Build and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a results-driven culture.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have:
- Cybersecurity Industry Expertise: Prior CFO or senior finance leadership experience in a cybersecurity or MDR/MSSP company.
- High-Growth Leadership: Experience scaling a $100M+ revenue business.
- PE-Backed & Board Experience: Track record in private equity-backed organizations with extensive Board interaction.
- SaaS & Recurring Revenue Models: Deep understanding of ARR, churn, and expansion metrics in a subscription-based business.
- M&A & Capital Raising: Demonstrated success in capital markets strategy, M&A transactions, and financial restructuring.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Expertise in building robust financial models, operational analytics, and performance-driven financial strategies.
- Executive-Level Communication: Ability to clearly articulate financial strategies and results to CEOs, Boards, investors, and cross-functional leaders.
- Entrepreneurial & Execution-Oriented: Hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Strategic Thinker & Problem Solver: Ability to break down complex business issues and drive data-backed financial decisions.

The anticipated salary range for this role is $365,000 to $400,000 + 30% bonus + generous stock options + benefits. Actual compensation may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level.
