Vale Group has partnered with a company in the automotive industry, based in Washington, DC Metro Area, actively searching for an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to work onsite for an opportunity paying 200-240k, based on experience. This role is ideal for a strategic financial leader with deep expertise in automotive dealership operations, financial strategy, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO):
CPA preferred, with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management
Background in public accounting with experience in the automotive industry is a plus
Previous CFO or Controller experience within a multi-location family-owned dealership or large automotive group
Expertise in financial reporting, accounting operations, and dealership cost control strategies
Proficiency in Automotive Dealer Management Systems (DMS) such as Reynolds or Tekkion
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, financial data integration, and contract review
Ability to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations such as payroll, sales, and income tax filings, as well as MVA, Department of Labor, FTC, and OSHA requirements
Responsibilities of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO):
Oversee financial reporting and accounting operations for the dealership group, affiliated real estate holdings, and related entities
Collaborate with ownership, general managers, and sales & finance leaders to align financial strategy with business goals
Lead and mentor controllers, office managers, and accounting teams to enhance financial performance and operational efficiency
Develop and implement cost control strategies to maximize profitability
Ensure strict financial controls are in place to prevent fraud, theft, and financial discrepancies
Partner with external CPA firms to maintain GAAP compliance, optimize tax strategies, and manage audits and tax filings
Manage relationships with financial institutions for banking, cash flow, and debt servicing
Oversee payroll processing, vendor management, insurance coverage, and manufacturer communications
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain accurate documentation of financial operations and corporate agreements
