Chief Financial Officer

The CFO will be responsible for overseeing and managing all financial operations of the company, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial data, and providing strategic financial guidance to the leadership team.

The CFO will be a key partner in shaping the company’s financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and reporting processes, ensuring long-term financial health and sustainability. This individual will also lead financial risk management and compliance efforts while supporting the company’s growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the company’s financial strategy, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to align with overall business objectives.
• Oversee the preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses to ensure compliance with accounting standards and industry regulations.
• Develop and manage cash flow strategies to support operational needs, including working capital management and project financing.
• Monitor the company’s financial health, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), profitability, and cost control.
• Provide financial leadership and strategic advice to the CEO, President, and other executives, supporting decision-making processes related to major business initiatives and investments.
• Manage the company’s accounting, tax, audit, and compliance activities, working with external auditors, regulatory bodies, and internal teams.
• Oversee financial systems, ensuring effective use of technology and tools for streamlined financial processes.
• Evaluate potential risks to the company’s financial position, including market conditions, project costs, and regulatory changes, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Ensure that all financial reporting is accurate, timely, and aligned with industry standards and best practices.
• Provide guidance and support to project managers, estimating teams, and department heads in managing budgets and financial performance for construction projects.
• Lead and manage the finance team, providing mentorship and professional development opportunities.
• Collaborate with other departments, including operations, HR, and legal, to ensure financial considerations are integrated into all business decisions.
• Lead financial due diligence for potential mergers, acquisitions, or business partnerships.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
• 5+ years of progressive experience in finance, preferably within the construction industry or a related field.
• Strong understanding of construction project accounting, cost management, and financial reporting in a construction environment.
• Experience with financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, compliance standards, and risk management strategies.
• Proficient in financial software, ERP systems, and accounting tools (e.g., Procore, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
