Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting with over 10 years of accounting experience.
In-depth knowledge of construction cost accounting or project-based accounting.
Responsibilities:
Oversee budgets, costs, and profitability for construction projects.
Manage accounts payable and receivable to ensure smooth financial operations.
Handle fixed assets, including tax and book depreciation.
Analyze cost variances and forecast profitability to drive financial success.
Communicate with project managers on job-related matters to ensure project alignment.
Prepare monthly financial reports to keep stakeholders informed.
Compile quarterly consolidated financial reports, including current-year pro-forma.
Collaborate with external auditors to ensure timely completion of audits.
Maintain accurate financial transaction records and proper documentation.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations in the US and Canada.
Reconcile quarterly and annual payroll data and file payroll tax reports.
Manage reciprocal union agreements with Laborers, Teamsters, and Operating Engineers unions.
