The ideal CFO candidate for Argent Credit Union will be dedicated to upholding exceptional service standards while leading strategic initiatives that support the Credit Union’s long-term financial objectives. This role includes overseeing the Finance and Accounting department, Payments and Digital Services department, and all aspects of the credit union's BSA/AML and OFAC compliance programs. Success in this role requires a “shared success” mindset, collaborating with various functional decision-makers helping to ensure mission alignment while maintaining a strong focus on "smart growth," a key pillar of the organization’s strategic vision.
Expected focus across four critical areas:
- Financial Performance: The CFO will place emphasis on duties that drive consistent earnings and financial growth, overseeing financial management, forecasting, and performance analysis to ensure that the Credit Union remains on a strong, profitable trajectory. This includes managing the balance sheet, investments, and risks while optimizing revenue streams and expense containment to achieve Argent Credit Union’s financial objectives.
- Expansion and Growth: The CFO will play a developing role in executing growth strategies for Argent Credit Union. With an expected increase in both size and complexity, the CFO will collaborate with President/CEO and Board of Directors on preparing Argent Credit Union for that next stage of financial growth. The ability to evaluate market opportunities, make data-driven decisions, and implement financial growth strategies that are both scalable and sustainable will be essential for advancing Argent Credit Union’s position in the competitive financial landscape.
- Payments and Digital Services: The CFO will understand the evolving payments and digital services environment and help prepare Argent Credit Union to stay updated on the latest changes in technology to process payments safely and in real time. Emphasis should be placed on enhancing the digital experience and payment solutions environment resulting in a secure, cost-effective, frictionless member experience.
- Community Reputation: As the second-in-command, the CFO will champion Argent Credit Union’s standing in the community, ensuring that it is seen as a trusted and engaged financial partner in local initiatives. This role requires a leader that excels in financial oversight and values Argent Credit Union’s commitment to community involvement and corporate social responsibility.

Help Us Get to Know You
Seeking an experienced professional with a minimum of five years of leadership experience managing accounting or financial teams, along with at least ten years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management within a financial institution or public accounting firm. A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business is required, with a master’s degree and CPA preferred.
