PayPal is looking for an experienced Deal Desk Manager to help manage the end-to-end execution of complex deals and streamlined approval processes to increase sales speed and volume. This Deal Desk Manager will be supporting our Global & Strategic Accounts Sales Org. This role reports to the Head of Revenue Operations for this Sales segment.
Job Description:
As a Deal Desk Manager for the Global & Strategic Accounts team you will have an impact on the largest deals PayPal is pursuing.
Our Deal Desk Managers work with sales and internal cross-functional teams to ensure deals flow smoothly through pricing, legal, compliance and underwriting during Negotiations and Contracting. In addition, our Deal Desk Managers serve as project managers and support for strategic RFPs.
In your role as a Deal Desk Manager, you will:
- Drive revenue by working cross-functionally between sales, pricing, legal, finance, compliance, and underwriting in an effort to shorten the sales cycle time
- Serve as a strategic business partner to the sales organization and support functions to facilitate complex deal approvals
- Serve as a coordination point across internal stakeholders to identify friction points within sales processes and accelerate deal velocity and cycle time
- Optimize and manage a continuous deal pipeline by ensuring sales and sales support follows deal desk guidelines
- Create, align, and monitor Deal Desk goals and metrics across sales and sales support
- Create and continuously update Deal Desk process documentation and actively drive governance
- Identify and track process improvement opportunities in order to build a priority list of high impact solutions across the sales org
Requirements:
(Minimum Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s Degree in business or equivalent experience
- At least 2+ years of experience in Sales Operations or a similar role (Finance, Ops, etc.)
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Deal desk experience strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of Salesforce (including Einstein Analytics) or similar CRM and Microsoft Office Suite
- Can-do attitude with a strong sense of priorities, accountability, and ownership
- Excellent problem-solving skills, organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced team environment
- Successful track record working with cross-functional and remote teams
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in payments, fintech, consulting, and/or large enterprise sales
- Working knowledge of Tableau
- Ability to effectively work under pressure and to meet challenging deadlines
- Willingness to travel occasionally if needed (4 or fewer times per year, dependent on PayPal Covid travel restrictions)
