Job Description:
We are currently seeking a Sales Operations Analyst to join the clients Sales Operations team for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This Analyst role will focus on supporting the Sales commission processes. This candidate must be detail-oriented, disciplined and able to work independently. A love for problem-solving, an eye for precision and intuition with data and analytics is required. Sales commission and/or payroll experience is preferred, as well as proficiency in sales incentive applications and Excel. This position serves the clients Sales organization and reports directly to the Sales Operations Manager based in Durham, NC. Remote employment will be considered. Pay is dependent on experience, ranging between $30-34/hr
Responsibilities:
Perform and lead key activities needed for the management of the entire sales commission process. This includes administering of sales commissions and incentive plans, planning calendars, communication with sales field, creation and validation of sales territory definitions, programming incentive software, calculating and validating commission results, creating and distributing commission results to sales team, and troubleshooting and resolving inquiries in a timely and customer-centric manner.
Maintain the incentive software platform, including technical aspects such as programming territory definitions, sales organization hierarchies, updating new hires/terminations/transfers and any plan value changes as needed
Execute quarterly analysis of incentive results with ability to investigate and explain variances and fluctuations for the year-end commission cycle
Execute monthly calculation, reporting, and submission of sales incentive payments for contracted manufacturer reps
Provide analytical support to management during Incentive Plan design for the new fiscal year
Provide ad-hoc reporting and data as well as analytical support for management
Provide testing support for system integration between the sales incentive platform and ERP system
This role may require additional duties and/or assignments as designated by management.
Desired Background/Skills:
Prior experience with sales commissions and/or payroll
Experience using Callidus or any other commissions software
Experience using and/or supporting Salesforce.com
Tableau Desktop experience
Strong project management skills
Qualifications:
Prior experience learning and mastering new software systems
Strong MS Excel spreadsheet experience
Natural problem-solver, self-motivated, team player who is willing to pitch in wherever needed
Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy
Ability to build and improve business processes
Excellent communication, organization and professional presence
