Job Summary
As Vice President of Sales, you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of our sales strategy across all customer and market segments to achieve overall company revenue and profit growth targets. This will include evolving our current metrics, customer segmentation, channel strategy, lead generation, CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) and sales team organization and development.
The Vice President of Sales will be a key company executive who will be expected to lead and grow our retail and foodservice sales and profitability across multiple distribution channels, brands, customer segments, and product categories. This role will focus on development of existing accounts as well as identifying and growing new accounts and aligning sales plans and activities with marketing strategy/programming, company manufacturing strengths, and overall market trends.

Essential Job Duties
· Provide strategic leadership of the sales function across retail and foodservice markets and product categories, including building and effectively coaching and leading the sales teams to deliver consistent results that meet or exceed overall company revenue and profit growth targets.
· Exhibit strong business acumen and possesses the ability to translate strategy into tactical sales plans that are effectively executed with both current customers and prospects/potential new customers.
· Work closely in partnership and alignment with the marketing team on the development, direction, and implementation of marketing strategy for existing and new customers, considering evolving market trends, company strengths and competitor landscape.
· Develop and execute annual sales plans across customer and market segments that align with marketing strategy and manufacturing strengths to meet/exceed overall company growth targets.
. Collaborate with Marketing in initiatives related to CPG as well as develop and execute a strong CPG sales leadership.
· Coach, mentor, and lead the sales team members to fully realize their potential and have accountability for creating the right sales organizational structure to meet the needs of the business.
· Work with finance and marketing teams to maintain and analyze sales data across both retail and foodservice segments to maximize both revenue and profit growth. Own budget and forecast reviews of all sales plans as appropriate.
· Develop and improve KPIs and metrics to enable optimal execution of marketing strategy and sales plans across all customer segments, brands, and product categories.
· Continuously evaluate, based on metrics, KPIs, financial results, the sales results across all market segments, product categories, and brands to ensure sales team have proper direction in effectively executing sales plans throughout the year.
· Participate, as necessary, in negotiating contract terms and agreements that drive profitable sales growth and create processes to streamline and create consistency in contract negotiation and management. Review and approve all sales contracts and agreements as appropriate.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or related fields from a 4 year accredited university
- 10+ years in sales and marketing lead roles
- Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Consumer/Foodservice Markets a plus
- Strong Organization Development
Travel Required
- The employee may be required to travel up to 30% of the time by air or land.
