This is a flexible position and has the option of working in our Toronto office full time, hybrid throughout the week or working entirely remotely.
About the role:
Vena Solutions is looking for a Director of Sales Operations to join our Revenue Operations team. The Director of Sales Operations serves to optimize and improve the sales process for the sales team, and works across the commercial GTM to help scale the operations of Vena Solutions. You are involved with the operations management part of the RevOps framework. You work to improve workflows, remove roadblocks, promote efficiencies in the sales process, and manage technology.
You effectively use tools to track and evaluate the performance of sales processes, and based on this data, help define our sales and GTM strategies as well as identify opportunities for improvement. The right candidate is guided by a constant desire to reduce friction (big and small) in order to make the buying and selling journey as smooth, efficient and effective as possible. You'll be responsible for evolving our sales process and driving best practices.
This role requires building knowledge, trust and relationships across Vena. You'll report directly to the Vice President, Revenue Operations and Strategy and work very closely with the Chief Sales Officer and entire sales and revenue operations teams.
What you will do:
- Build, mentor, coach and Guide the Sales Operations team. Maintaining a climate that attracts, retains and motivates top quality personnel
- Oversight of sales modeling & operations planning and budgeting process in collaboration with Sales leadership, Revenue Operations & FP&A
- Work with department leaders to develop and maintain a strategic perspective based on marketplace and customer base
- Support the growth, strategy and operational execution of our partner channel program
- Create and maintain documentation on the Sales process, policies, and assist with onboarding new Sales talent
- Creating and maintaining prospecting data integrity strategy
- Manage the sales technology stack, renewals, usage and track return on investment, as well oversee the sales ops helpdesk
- Project manage and execute initiatives driving measurable results
- Constantly monitor feedback from the sales team to improve process and promote efficiency
- Ensure that our tools are accurately and effectively working with each other and aligned to business processes
- Prepare operational reports to summarize Sales effectiveness, while supporting teams to consistently improve
- Lead the Sales organization through effective Change Management programs, including collaboration with Sales Enablement to design and build training programs to communicate Sales process
- Collaborate with Marketing and Inside Sales Teams on demand and lead generation programs intended to grow the pipeline of opportunities for new clients as well as customer growth
Does this sound like you?:
- 7+ years experience in Sales Operations, enhancing processes, tools, reporting, metrics, and policies
- 5+ years of managerial experience within a fast-paced, scale-up environment with a track record of accelerating pipeline and revenue
- Analytical mindset with experience creating strategic plans that have success metrics/goals and evolving them based on performance
- Commitment to working with shared Management and in cross functional teams
- Knowledge and experience running RFP processes, designing compensation plans, and territory models
- Demonstrated experience with sales tools such as Salesforce, Salesloft, ZoomInfo, Gong, Seismic, LinkedIn or similar tools
- Experience managing vendor relationships and ability to partner with them to implement new technology and capabilities
- Experience executing large cross-functional projects according to scope, budget, and timeline
- Experience working and presenting to executives in a clear and compelling way
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple projects based on priorities and deadlines
