ConvertKit is hiring a Chief Revenue Officer who will be a strong leader for the company, a great collaborator with Product, and an excellent people manager who can guide the team to run effective and profitable growth strategies to help us reach our vision of $100M ARR.
Responsibilities Responsible for overseeing the marketing, sales, customer experience, and brand functions to drive overall company growth. Responsible for creating brand awareness in the creator market, customer acquisition and retention.
- Help create and execute strategy to scale from $29M to $100M ARR.
- Lead the Growth team in scaling GMV to $1B earned by creators on ConvertKit.
- Primarily responsible for hitting revenue and net revenue targets on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
- Works with Finance to create and maintain revenue projections 18 months in advance.
- Manages the Marketing, Sales, Customer Experience, and Brand functions.
- Supports and develops manager and director-level direct reports through coaching and mentoring.
- Plays an active role in recruiting exceptional talent across their teams.
- Responsible for setting growth goals and holding teams accountable.
- Proactively builds relationships across our industry, seeking out partner organizations and influential creators that will help build momentum for the company.
- Lives out the company value of Teach Everything You Know by consistently sharing learnings both inside and outside of the organization.
- Plays a significant role in the industry by building a network of fellow growth professionals to share learnings and introduce best practices to the ConvertKit growth teams.
- Leads by example in their personal and professional growth.

Requirements
- 7+ years experience as the most senior growth leader for a profitable, growth-stage startup.
- Has scaled a startup from below $30M to over $100M in revenue (once is required, multiple times is preferred).
- Demonstrates mastery of brand and growth marketing, SaaS sales, and customer experience.
- Has a track record of creating and sustaining repeatable growth systems in high-growth startups, combined with a strong desire to do it in a self-funded, high-efficiency environment.
- Proven ability to manage, mentor and lead a team of high-performing managers and leaders.
- Has built influence in the industry and/or is a creator or is imbedded in the creator economy.
- Has a deep understanding and network of creators.

Measurements of Success in This Role

- Growth of Top-Line Revenue Lead the Growth team to drive top-line growth through marketing, advertising, brand building and product marketing.
- Top-of-Funnel Growth Lead the Growth team to drive our top-of-funnel traffic through marketing, advertising, sales, affiliate and brand activities.
- Expansion and Retention Lead the Growth team to drive our expansion revenue and increase retention rates through a variety of support and sales activities.
- Creating and Driving Our North Star Metrics We regularly evaluate our metrics to understand the value we provide to customers. You will be responsible for defining and refining North Star Metrics in partnership with your Growth leaders and fellow Executive Team members.
- Brand Awareness We have an excellent Brand team creating quality content to show the creator market who we are. The CRO is tasked with making sure our content is doing its job in creating awareness that leads to conversions.
- Speed The creator economy is red hot and we need to move fast to maintain our position in it. The Growth organization needs to keep up with what is happening in the market and always be ready to shift and respond quickly. You will motivate and direct the efforts of the Growth org to execute quickly and effectively.
