PeaceHealth is seeking a SVP Chief Revenue Officer for a Full Time, Day position.
JOB SUMMARY
Provides system wide oversight and direction for value-based care, payor contracting, revenue cycle, including health information management, patient access, revenue cycle operations, and patient financial services Participates in developing and execution of the strategic course in delivery system redesign, healthcare reform and strategic pricing approaches for payers; and administers, coordinates and supports all payor and value based negotiation, contracting and reporting activities on behalf of the PeaceHealth. Leads development of and implementation of revenue cycle and admitting procedures. Ensures alignment of community, network and system-wide value-based care and contracting initiatives. Contributes to defining system strategic revenue goals and ensures departmental goals and objectives are aligned with the overall PH System strategic goals and objectives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Optimizes the fee-for-service price/volume equation of the Commercial and Managed Government net revenue portfolio.
- Oversees the successful coordination, negotiation and implementation of contracts with Managed Care Organizations and to maintain effective working relationships with his/her counterparts at such entities.
- Ensures that all required processes and available strategic pricing, legal, reporting and communication tools and processes will be deployed in order to both (a) maximize contract performance/yield (e.g., Net Revenue, Percentage of Charge Revenue, Net Revenue per Adjusted Admission, Contribution Margin, etc.), and (b) ensure consistency with the EBIDTA and pricing bandwidth management objectives.
- Manages and oversees financial activities including, community budgets, productivity management, reporting processes and audits for contracting and revenue cycle functions. Observes trends and acts as a steward to safeguard the assets of the organization. Analyzes performance variances and unusual trends and keeps decision-makers informed of significant trends and events.
- Supports business development with development of business plans; forecasts critical milestones, potential obstacles, evaluates risk/benefits and presents alternate course of actions; provides guidance to maximize PeaceHealth financial position and successful implementation of growth opportunities.
- Leads revenue cycle services to best practice and create an exceptional consumer experience.
- Creates sustained solutions for alignment and integration of finance and revenue cycle with operations, reimbursement, managed care, compliance, and other shared services.
- Develops and innovates new finance and revenue cycle strategies to address competitive, complex business issues and objectives.

EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Master’s degree required or a combination of education and professional experience that provides the caregiver with the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the job
EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:
- Minimum of ten years progressive managerial experience in Revenue Cycle.
OTHER SKILLS:

Ability to deliver financial results for areas of accountability. High level of business acumen including intimate knowledge of healthcare industry and trends.
- Advanced skills in multiple areas of Revenue Cycle.
- Ability to deliver value through service excellence and performance outcomes.
- Experience and advanced knowledge in current Revenue Cycle and EMR tools and technology
- Experience in working in a matrix relationship model.
- Strong Analytics and experience in establishment of Metrics, Outcomes and Service Level Agreements
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance, Federal and State laws with a working knowledge of insurance and billing regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal presentation communications skills and techniques
- Change leader, with ability to inspire and engage teams to achieve high levels of service excellence
- Proficient in the use of MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) required.

Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 including 2 doses of a 2-dose series or 1 dose of a 1-dose series plus 14 days beyond the final dose prior to start date.
