Lead the team in planning, developing, prioritizing, and monitoring strategic client initiatives, as well as day-to-day business operations. In partnership with the Director, support divisional plans and strategic initiatives tied to the growth and retention of VSP’s clients.
Maintain in-depth working knowledge of existing and new products/services/processes/procedures and other information to ensure accurate and current information is provided to staff; educate and train staff to support Sales Plans; coordinate and implement all training programs that meet VSP Vision's service requirements, goals & strategies
Identify operational and strategic risks to client development and retention; develop and execute plans and strategies to mitigate identified risks
Implement strategies and plans for the team to build, strengthen and leverage client relationships with a focus on growth, retention, and operational excellence
Work closely with cross-divisional teams to vet new and existing client requirements/opportunities for successful implementation, long term profitability and to ensure service levels and expectations are met with appropriate and effective solutions
Adopt sales automation system for all prospecting and client relationship activities; monitor and maintain the integrity of data in applicable VSP systems
Assure effective communications are maintained within the team, with regional offices and externally
Job Specifications
Typically has the following skills or abilities:
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
Minimum of 3 years of management experience with responsibilities for hiring, training, assigning work, and managing the performance of direct reports
Proficient in strategic and tactical approaches to support business needs; to plan and accomplish goals and successfully manage risks and escalations
Extensive experience and evidenced ability to navigate complex situations through the organizational landscape with multiple stakeholders and senior management, while maintaining balanced consideration of all business needs
Proven financial management in the development and administration of budgets across multiple areas
Demonstrated ability to be a decision-maker showing balanced consideration of business issues
Advanced communication, analytical, and problem-solving competencies
Exceptional organizational and customer service skills
Established presentation and negotiation abilities
Demonstrated project management experience
Demonstrated facilitation skills

Understanding and proficiency with Speed of Trust principles with experience and results using them
