This position is responsible for providing clinical strategic direction and oversight for Penn State Health (PSH). Oversees medical care delivery system, including development and implementation of strategies, programs, policies and procedures for all medical services across the Health System. Coordinates and implements effective and efficient management of clinical resources in the delivery of inpatient and outpatient care. Engages with administrative, operational and clinical colleagues across the system to ensure that patients receive the highest standard of medical care.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
- MD or DO degree, along with primary and/or sub-specialty board certification from the American Board of Medical Specialties, and current licensure or eligibility to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is required.
- Ten (10) years of experience as a chief medical officer, vice president of medical affairs, or other senior physician leadership position in an academic healthcare environment or complex community teaching hospital required.
