Position Synopsis
Our client, an Equity sponsored multi-unit healthcare organization is searching for a Chief Financial Officer. This role reports to the Chief Executive Officer who enjoys empowering the finance head to play as large as a part in operations as they do in financial decisions. Org Chart will include a team that owns the company’s financial planning and analysis, revenue cycle management, general ledger, financial reporting, accounts receivable, credit and collections, accounts payable, & payroll.

Job Duties
- As a trusted partner to the CEO, development and refine this company’s strategic goals while empowering your departments, co-leading board presentations, derive data driven decisions, and strive for operational excellence.
- Provides financial analysis of operations to identify areas for company-wide benchmarking, budgeting restrictions, improved cash flow, and revenue enhancement.
- Actively involved with Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) oversight of processes and continually partnering with Billing Director who ensures proper determination of patient portions, approval of any discounts of upfront collections, and accurate billing codes in compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and Medi-Cal.
- In conjunction with Sr. Manager of FP&A you will review annual operating budget, annual strategic planning process, ensure monthly analysis of variances is performed, and implement changes needed to achieve budget goals.
- Communicate with external auditors alongside your Corporate Controller who takes point on the annual tax filing with outside CPA firm.
- Ensure Sr. Accounting Manager stays on top of OSHPD reporting and other required governmental reporting including Medicare and Medi-Cal cost reports.
- Continue to build on strong corporate support center’s philosophy of strong internal customer service and produce reporting packages, KPIs, operational drivers that enhance visibility on performance.
- Engage audit committee, board of directors, and other healthcare executives in developing short term and strategic planning with company’s mission of goodwill towards mankind in mind.
- Coordinate across multiple departments to review internal processes and implement strategic changes to improve reporting and efficiency.
- Develops and maintains effective working relationships with key financial partners including shareholders, board, consultants, vendors, and client base.
- With the necessary leadership and communication skills, the expected CFO must have the ability to give advice, provide a voice of reason, and always engage transparently with employees.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of progressive experience
- CPA or experience within the healthcare space
- Use of collaborative and facilitative approach and the flexibility to work with broad range of cultures, personalities, and work styles
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, and verbal, interpersonal and quantitative skills normally.
- Budgeting/Planning/Analytic Tool Environment experience such as Vena, Adaptive Insights, Host Analytics, OneStream, HFM, Alteryx, Tableau, or Anaplan all a plus
- If you have been successful working in ERP environment such as Acumatica, MS Dynamics 365, NetSuite, Oracle Fusion, SAP Cloud, or Intacct also a plus
