What You Will Be Doing
- Play a key role in the budgeting/forecasting process, business performance reporting, monthly close process, operational improvements, and ad-hoc support on strategic projects
- Business Partner with Sales P&L activities, including profitability and productivity metrics, headcount planning, and overall operating expense planning.
- Create, enhance, and maintain financial models used to calculate variable commissions across multiple sales teams
- Build / Maintain sales capacity models to support long-range planning & billings/bookings goals
- Partner closely with Sales Operations and Supply Chain to review supply and demand data points and accurately project bookings/billings
- Build Monthly/Quarterly/Annual corporate revenue forecasts by partnering cross-functionally, taking into account variation in supply/demand, product mix, pricing, and hardware/SaaS revenue streams.
- Become a trusted advisor to the sales team and work with sales reps to structure deals that best meet customer and company goals
- Work with channel organization to help design pricing and incentive programs
- Draw insights from pricing and deal structure trends across the region, revenue streams, and product sets and advise senior decision-makers
- Partner with revenue accounting on month-end close activities, such as contra-revenue accrual reviews
- Drive initiatives to improve existing planning processes, drive automation, and streamline of deliverables
- Business Partner with Chief Revenue Officer and VP, Sales Operations on P&L activities, including profitability and productivity metrics, headcount planning, and operating expense planning.
Qualifications
- BS/BA in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of FP&A-related experience including planning and budgeting processes, financial forecasting, interpreting and reporting business performance results
- Experience with software and integrated hardware solutions is a plus
- Experience in supporting a sales function with knowledge of commissions and bookings/billings
- Experience with revenue recognition rules is a plus
- Experience performing financial and ad hoc analyses using advanced Excel functionality and providing recommendations based on results to senior management for strategic decision-making
- Experience with Salesforce, Workday Adaptive Planning, and NetSuite
- Able to manipulate large amounts of data and summarize key outputs
- Strong organizational skills and ability to execute in a fast-paced, high-demand environment. Manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively prioritize to achieve optimal results.
- Excellent people skills to interact with colleagues, cross-functional teams, customers, prospects and partners.
