Purpose
As a key member of the Guardian’s Sales team, you will be committed to enhancing productivity and providing invaluable support to the Sales team. Working with the VP Sales, you will be responsible for planning and managing operational success through seamless work processes, coordination, and efficient communication.
This is a full-time position (37.5 hours) reporting at Guardian Chemicals Inc office in Sturgeon County, Alberta.
Duties and Responsibilities
1 - Sales Operations
- Collaborate cross functionally and play a key role in sales operations planning through effective and timely communications.

Work with Sales VP to coordinate his schedule and short/long term sales agendas.

Manage communications within sales team and organizing online and in person meetings, training sessions and annual conference events.

Coordinate with Sales representatives to ensure prompt processing of orders

Manage lead generation and follow-up.

Support salespeople by communicating customer price changes and projected shipping dates.

Support salespeople in substitution or modification of products where specific requests are not available.
2 - Business Analytics and Sales Trend Reporting
- Compile and analyze data over time to forecast sales trends in preparation of forecasts and budgets.

Present actionable information and insights to team members and management from data within the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.

Prepare accurate KPI Scorecards for the sales management team using data from internal and external sources.

Gather and analyze data to track success towards achieving revenue targets, profitability targets, growth goals as well as projects designed to improve the business.
3 - Pricing Requisitions

Generate quotations and provide contract pricing to sales reps for unique customer requests.

Support customer’s needs through supporting requests for pricing, commission factors and product availability.

Support the pricing approval process in coordination with product marketing and finance.

Maintain an accurate and up to date price book which includes accurate product descriptions, part numbers, quantity price breaks and commission factors.

Manage major pricing launches by supporting salespeople with data and communication support.

Maintain accurate records for customer specific product pricing.

Support the continuous improvement of quotation automation and quote to order CRM process.
What you will bring:

Bachelors level degree in Commerce, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Math or equivalent experience working in an environment that provides sufficient context for the Sales Operations function

Be fluent in oral and written English and have excellent communication skills

Be able to legally work in Canada

Team player with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Self-starter with the ability to get multiple tasks done within a workday

Ability to effectively manage and work with multiple priorities and deadlines

Excellent organizational, planning, problem solving, decision making and time management skills

Ability to assimilate, analyze and facilitate information sharing

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills that includes familiarity with databases and pivot tables

Familiarity with Sage X3, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Sage Enterprise Intelligence software systems or previous working experience in similar systems is an asset
