Position Summary
Miovision is looking for a driven finance professional who excels at building business relationships and helping bridge sales strategy with financial results, as well as a keen mind for forecasting, scenario building and dynamic solutions.
Reporting to the Manager, FP&A, the Senior Financial Analyst will have a proven track record of, and be responsible for partnering with a Revenue Operations organization to ensure end-to-end planning, forecasting and analysis around pipeline and bookings. Strategic thinking around deal structures that carefully balance strategic revenue growth and healthy gross margins will be critical for success in this role, as well as experience building and delivering variable compensation plans that help incentivize RevOps to achieve financial results on target with our strategic plan.
You have a strong systems background and are proficient at working with disparate data sets and turning them into meaningful insights. The successful candidate is always looking for ways to improve the process and work smarter, not harder, leveraging our internal systems and data teams to ensure timely, accurate and effective data production.
Key Accountabilities
- FP&A Business Partnering
- Tight integration into the Revenue Operations and Go To Market Teams. Build a true partnership with RevOps and become an integrated and key part of building sales strategy, forecasting future returns and managing current results.
- Own the “Deal Desk”
- Act as a key contributor to the sales strategy by reviewing deal structure including margins, discounts and volumes. Partner with sales to provide recommendations and flexible approaches to help achieve the optimal result for Miovision in a timely manner.
- Variable Compensation
- Build, administer, forecast and report on the effectiveness of our variable compensation plans. Deliver transparent, understandable and accurate statements for plan participants and recommend opportunities for improvements or incentives to motivate sales to achieve organizational targets.
- Assist in the company’s annual operating plan and departmental budgets. Drive accountability by monitoring the approved budgets and providing value-add analysis.
- Partner with business leaders to empower them with financial information that will inform impactful business decisions.
- Turning sales forecasts into rolling financial forecasts including scenarios and “what-ifs”, understanding their end to end impact
Skills/Qualifications
- 7+ years work experience in managing company-wide data sets for the use of financial modeling
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required, preferably in Commerce or Finance
- CPA or equivalent designation is strongly preferred
- Advanced level competency in Microsoft Office
- Strong people management and communication skills, verbal and written
- Able to tailor communication style and approach to different levels in the organization
- Strategic mindset with abstract thinking and problem solving skills
- Must be able to recommend alternatives and provide options
- Thrives in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment
Additional Assets
- Systems experience with CRM (Salesforce), commissions tools and financial planning tools
- Experience in both a SaaS and Hardware business
