The Senior Sales Operations Analyst reports to the Vice President of Commercial Operations, and is located in Mansfield, MA.
Position Summary
Key role in supporting sales growth and on-boarding of new business. Will support customer stratification and pricing optimization initiatives through the management of sales/pricing analysis. Will use statistical analysis to monitor and manage pricing, margin, and customer stratification data points. Support Account Managers in customer meeting preparation and growth initiatives. The analyst will also review current order flow policies and reporting and make recommendations for scheduled reports and corrections.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Support Sales and Sales Operations through reporting and data analysis
- Accompany Account Managers on customer facing presentations with large customer, growth opportunities
- Analyze business chain/key account metrics and recommend improvements
- Manage reporting relating to customer profitability and margin targets
- Provide management reports and presentations to illustrate business profitability and customer stratification
- Provide necessary ad hoc reporting for customer segmentation, pricing, and delivery/logistics analytics
- Audit applications and processes to ensure data integrity
- Develop new applications, tools and ad hoc/refreshable reports that support root cause analysis or streamline related processes
- Fulfill Supply America reporting requirements weekly/monthly
- Working with IT Liaison to develop custom IT program specifications to support user system requirements and perform full system testing prior to implementation
- Perform projects, analyses, and data extractions as assigned
Competencies
- Understanding of sales pricing models and sale order operational processes
- Expertise in Microsoft Excel
- SQL query construction and use of embedded SQL queries in Excel a plus
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be well organized, detail oriented and able to prioritize tasks
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Related occupational experience
