We are looking for a People & Business Operations Manager to support and enhance our people and business operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient employee experience.


You will be responsible for key people functions, including hiring and onboarding, team health and retention, the development of performance reviews and people development processes. In addition, you will work closely with the GLS/NXT management team and be a core connection piece between the central functions of the GLS Group (HR, Finance, IT) and our GLS/NXT team. Occasionally, you will support office management and organize external visits or internal team events (offsites, team days). This role is ideal for a structured and organized professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about creating a great workplace.


Key Responsibilities

  • Business Operations: Manage and lead the internal HR and Business Operations processes such as vacation management, procurement processes, hardware requests and internal logistics.
  • Hiring & Onboarding/Offboarding: Coordinate end-to-end hiring processes, ensure smooth onboarding for new employees, and manage structured offboarding procedures.
  • Project Management: Independently manage own projects in the area of HR, Operations, and Culture.
  • Support the Leadership Team: Work closely with the GLS/NXT management by creating decision memos and preparing meetings such as our bi-weekly all-hands or board meetings.
  • People Performance Reviews: Improve and manage performance review processes, ensuring timely feedback and structured evaluations.
  • People Development & Growth Planning: Assist in defining development plans, career progression frameworks, and employee training opportunities.
  • Office Management & Team Events: Oversee office operations, maintain a productive workspace, and organize team events and frequent external visits to enhance collaboration and engagement. We are working in a serviced co-working space.
  • Administration: Support with diverse administration tasks, such as travel arrangements and expense management, and be the linking communication between the team and the central GLS functions.
  • Team Health & Retention: Monitor and support employee well-being, fostering a positive and engaging work environment to drive retention.


Your Background

  • A university degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Psychology, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in People operations, people management, or office administration, preferably in a startup or scale-up environment.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a structured and detail-oriented approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Business-level proficiency in English and German, both written and spoken.
  • Work experience in a larger corporate team is beneficial.
