About The Role
Mastech Digital is seeking a dynamic and experienced Data GTM Lead/Data as an Asset Practice Lead to drive our data-centric growth strategies. This is a crucial customer-facing role focused on business development, practice strategy, thought leadership, practice differentiation, and partnership development. You will be responsible for leading the Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy for our Data as an Asset practice, driving revenue growth, and establishing Mastech InfoTrellis as a leader in the data management space.
Key Responsibilities
This role encompasses five core areas :
Presales (Business Development & Solutioning)
- Lead presales activities, including business development, solution design, and whiteboarding sessions with clients.
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities related to data management solutions.
- Develop compelling proposals and presentations to showcase Mastech InfoTrellis's expertise and value proposition.
- Work closely with sales teams to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets.
Practice Strategy
- Develop and execute the overall strategy for the Data as an Asset practice, focusing on industry trends, specializations, tools, accelerators, and community building.
- Identify and define target industries and customer segments.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance the practice's capabilities.
- Develop and maintain practice offerings, including descriptive and training materials.
- Manage a virtual onshore and worldwide consulting team to ensure effective delivery and knowledge sharing.
Thought Leadership
- Establish Mastech InfoTrellis as a thought leader in the data management space through content creation, participation in industry events, and hosting webinars.
- Develop and publish white papers, blog posts, and case studies to showcase our expertise and solutions.
- Represent Mastech InfoTrellis at industry conferences and events.
Practice Differentiators
- Define and articulate the practice's unique differentiators, including frameworks, specializations, and industry expertise.
- Develop and maintain intellectual property (IP) related to data management solutions.
- Identify and develop strategic partnerships to enhance our service offerings.
Partnership Development
- Develop and manage partnerships with key technology vendors (e.g., Informatica, Reltio, Semarchy, Azure, AWS, GCP, Snowflake, Databricks).
- Collaborate with partners on joint Go-to-Market (GTM) initiatives, Proof of Concepts (PoCs), and IP development.
- Drive partner engagement and ensure alignment with Mastech InfoTrellis's strategic goals.
Duties & Responsibilities
Professional IT Services Team Leadership :
- Develop and implement IT Go-to-Market strategies and plans.
- Develop and manage practice offerings, including training materials.
- Work towards achieving team-specific revenue targets.
- Manage and lead a virtual onshore and worldwide consulting team.
- Collaborate with sales teams to market and sell data management solutions.
Delivery Management Oversight
- Provide oversight for delivery execution and address system-level issues impacting contractual commitments.
- Lead implementations in areas such as MDM, Data Governance, Data Engineering, and Cloud Data Warehousing.
Qualifications
General Experience :
- 10+ years of experience in the IT industry.
- 5+ years of experience leading an IT professional services team/organization.
Technical Knowledge
- Strong understanding of current high-level IT concepts, including Data Fabric, Data Mesh, Medallion-based architectures, and Data Warehousing/Data Lakes.
- Knowledge of basic Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning concepts and their application in data management solutions.
- Direct experience with major hyper-scalers (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Experience with software and SaaS vendors such as Informatica, Reltio, Semarchy, Azure Purview/Synapse, Snowflake, and Databricks.
Education
- Minimum Master's degree or equivalent.
Travel
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally to work with clients and team members.
