The Opportunity:
This is a unique opportunity to join a promising startup as a true Co-founder, with a significant equity stake (10-20%, commensurate with experience and contribution) and the chance to shape the future of StackBuffer Technologies. This is a full-time, role in Ahmedabad, requiring a hands-on, entrepreneurial leader. This role is entirely equity-based, meaning there is no initial salary. Your compensation will be directly tied to the company's success, offering substantial financial upside as we grow.
Role Description: Chief Revenue Officer (Co-founder)
As Co-founder and Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), you will be the driving force behind our sales and revenue generation strategy. You won't just be "developing strategies" – you'll be building and executing them from the ground up. You will work in direct partnership with the founding team, playing a critical role in all major strategic decisions. This includes developing and executing the go-to-market strategy for our new AI solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to acquire new clients and expand existing accounts, targeting specific industries and company sizes. This strategy will encompass both our core cloud consulting services and our emerging AI solutions.
- Lead Generation & Pipeline Management: Build and manage a robust sales pipeline, actively generating leads through networking, industry events, partnerships, and other creative channels.
- Direct Sales: Personally manage the full sales cycle, from initial contact to closing deals, for key accounts. This will involve presenting our services (including AI solutions), crafting proposals, negotiating contracts, and building strong client relationships.
- Partnership Development: Identify, negotiate, and manage strategic partnerships with other technology companies, resellers, and referral sources, including potential partners in the AI ecosystem.
- Sales Team Building (Future): As we grow, you will be responsible for recruiting, training, and managing a high-performing sales team.
- Market Analysis & Competitive Intelligence: Continuously monitor the market, identify emerging trends (especially in AI), and understand the competitive landscape to inform our sales and product strategies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the engineering and marketing teams to ensure alignment between sales efforts, product development (including AI solutions), and marketing campaigns.
- Revenue Forecasting & Reporting: Develop accurate revenue forecasts and provide regular reports to the founding team on sales performance and key metrics.
- Define and Refine Sales Processes: Establish scalable and repeatable sales processes to ensure consistent and efficient sales operations.
- AI Solutions Go-to-Market: Develop and execute a specific go-to-market strategy for our AI solutions, including identifying target use cases, developing pricing models, and crafting compelling messaging.
- Evangelize AI Solutions: Become a thought leader and evangelist for StackBuffer's AI capabilities, presenting at industry events and engaging with potential clients and partners.
Qualifications:
- Proven Sales Track Record: A demonstrably successful track record in B2B technology sales, preferably in cloud services, SaaS, or related industries. Must have experience closing deals and exceeding targets. Experience selling AI solutions or data-related products is a strong plus.
- Entrepreneurial Mindset: A self-starter with a strong sense of ownership, a passion for building businesses, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
- Network: Existing network of contacts within the technology or cloud services industry is a significant advantage. A network within the AI/ML community is a plus.
- Strong Business Acumen: Excellent understanding of business principles, financial metrics, and strategic planning.
- Exceptional Communication & Negotiation Skills: Ability to articulate complex technical concepts (including AI) clearly and persuasively, build rapport with clients, and negotiate win-win agreements.
- Leadership Experience: Prior experience building or leading sales teams is highly desirable, though not strictly required.
- Analytical Skills: Data-driven approach to decision-making, with the ability to analyze sales data, identify trends, and optimize performance.
- Understanding of AI: While you don't need to be an AI engineer, a solid understanding of AI concepts, applications, and the AI market landscape is highly desirable.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred. MBA or other relevant advanced degree is a plus.
