Chief Financial Officer

We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and dynamic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our leadership team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in renewable energy or commercial construction, bringing financial expertise and strategic vision to drive our company's growth. The CFO will oversee and manage the company's financial operations, working closely with the Controller and other senior leadership to ensure the financial health and success of the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, particularly in construction and energy services, and will play a key role in shaping the company’s financial strategy as we continue to grow and expand our services in the energy efficiency and renewable energy markets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Management: Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Strategic Leadership: Partner with the executive team to develop and execute the company’s financial strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and growth objectives.
• Reporting and Analysis: Provide accurate and timely financial reports to senior management and stakeholders. Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Cash Flow & Capital Management: Ensure the company’s financial health by monitoring cash flow, managing working capital, and securing necessary financing for ongoing and upcoming projects.
• Cost Control & Profitability: Work closely with project managers and the operations team to track project costs, profitability, and efficiency, ensuring margins are maintained or improved.
• Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax compliance. Lead the internal audit process and manage financial risk.
• Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the Controller and financial staff, ensuring they are aligned with company goals and equipped to handle the financial functions of the business.
• Financial Planning & Strategy: Support long-term financial planning, capital expenditure decisions, and profitability analysis to support the company’s growth.
• Stakeholder Relations: Liaise with investors, banks, auditors, and other financial partners, ensuring strong relationships and communication.

Qualifications:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required. An MBA or CPA designation is preferred.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior financial role.
• Strong background in construction services or energy efficiency/renewable energy sectors, with familiarity in the financial complexities of these industries.
• Proven track record in managing financial operations, including budgeting, financial reporting, and cash flow management for large-scale projects.
• Skills:
• Excellent knowledge of financial management and accounting principles, including GAAP.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
• Experience with financial software and ERP systems (experience with construction-related software is a plus).
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments and functions.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
