The Company:


Harmonic are delighted to be partnering with a leading £150m revenue pharmaceutical manufacturing organization dedicated to delivering high-quality, innovative solutions across the industry. With a commitment to operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and continuous innovation, the company plays a critical role in the development and production of essential pharmaceutical products. Operating at the forefront of the sector, the company is focused on sustainable growth, efficiency, and strategic expansion in an evolving global landscape. The client is highly acquisitive boasting a large portfolio of companies spanning across 10+ countries and a large global presence with customers in over 70 countries.


The Role:


To support its ambitious growth trajectory, the company is seeking to appoint a Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Reporting directly to the chair, the CFO will play a pivotal role in shaping financial strategy, ensuring robust financial performance, and driving operational efficienc

ies.The successful candidate will have extensive experience in financial leadership within a manufacturing environment, demonstrating expertise in financial planning & analysis (FP&A), corporate governance, and strategic growth initiatives. A strong commercial mindset and a track record in mergers & acquisitions (M&A) will be essential, as will the ability to optimize financial operations and partner effectively with cross-functional teams.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and execute financial strategies to drive sustainable growth, profitability, and long-term value creation.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling to enhance strategic decision-making.
  • Lead corporate development activities, including mergers, acquisitions, and commercial partnerships.
  • Strengthen financial governance, risk management, and compliance to ensure regulatory adherence.
  • Build and lead high-performing finance teams, fostering a culture of operational excellence.
  • Drive financial process automation and system improvements to enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy.
  • Partner with commercial teams to assess market trends, pricing strategies, and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Oversee cash flow, working capital management, and funding strategies to support operational needs.
  • Serve as a key advisor to senior leadership, investors, and external stakeholders on financial performance and strategy.


What We Need to See (Essential):


  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification.
  • Significant senior financial leadership experience, ideally within pharmaceutical or manufacturing sectors.
  • Experience scaling finance functions in a high-growth or global manufacturing environment.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a proven ability to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience leading and developing high-performing finance teams.


What We Would Like to See (Non-Essential):


  • Background in pharmaceutical regulatory finance and supply chain financial management.
  • Previous involvement in complex international financial structures and multi-jurisdictional compliance.
  • Track record in corporate development, including M&A, due diligence, and post-merger integration.


Start Date: ASAP (happy to accommodate a 3-month notice period)

Salary: £175k-210k + Bonus + Equity


Location: Milton Keynes (Hybrid)
