Base pay range

$200,000.00/yr - $250,000.00/yr

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial operations of our prestigious Family Office. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing financial matters in a Family Office setting and be able to provide strategic financial leadership to support the family’s wealth management, investment strategies, tax planning, and overall financial objectives. The CFO will collaborate closely with family members, advisors, and other key stakeholders to ensure the long-term financial health and success of the family’s assets.

Responsibilities


Financial Strategy & Leadership:

Lead the financial strategy for the Family Office, ensuring alignment with the family's goals and objectives. Work closely with family members to provide financial guidance and advice tailored to their unique needs.

Wealth Management:

Oversee the management of family assets, investments, and portfolios, ensuring diversified strategies and prudent risk management to achieve desired returns while maintaining the family’s values and long-term financial goals.

Investment Oversight:

Work with external investment managers, advisors, and consultants to ensure optimal asset allocation, investment selection, and monitoring. Lead the family’s due diligence process for new investments and business ventures.

Tax and Estate Planning:

Ensure tax-efficient strategies are implemented in conjunction with tax advisors, including planning for estate, gift, and wealth transfer strategies. Provide advice on structuring and maximizing tax benefits.

Financial Reporting & Compliance:

Oversee the preparation and accuracy of financial statements, cash flow analysis, budgets, and other reporting as necessary. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and reporting standards.

Family Governance:

Collaborate with family members to establish and maintain governance structures, ensuring clear communication, transparency, and alignment of financial decisions with family values.

Risk Management & Insurance:

Lead the family office’s risk management efforts, identifying and mitigating financial, operational, and reputational risks. Work with legal and insurance advisors to ensure proper protection of assets.

Budgeting & Financial Planning:

Develop and manage the annual budget, cash flow forecasting, and long-term financial plans. Review and adjust financial strategies as required based on performance, market changes, and evolving family needs.

Team Management:

Oversee and manage any internal finance and accounting staff or external consultants, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and confidentiality. Foster a culture of professionalism, integrity, and collaboration.


Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. An advanced degree (MBA, MFin, etc.) or CPA designation is preferred.
  • Family office experience required
  • 10+ years of experience in senior financial management roles
