Vice President of Business Operations


Overview:


The Director of Operations will oversee day-to-day field operations, workforce productivity, and service execution for a multi-location business in the building and contracting industry. This leader will be responsible for optimizing processes, ensuring safety compliance, and driving operational efficiencies to support business growth and service excellence.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead and oversee daily field operations, logistics, and project execution across multiple locations.
  • Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve efficiency and service quality.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards, risk mitigation, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage workforce planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to support growth and service demand.
  • Optimize fleet, equipment, and material procurement processes in collaboration with procurement teams.
  • Implement data-driven KPIs to measure performance and operational success.
  • Work closely with the sales and finance teams to align operational capacity with business growth.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service reliability and profitability.


Qualifications


  • 10+ years of operational leadership experience in Building Construction, Facilities Services, or Specialty Trade Contracting.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale field service operations with a workforce of skilled trades and technicians.
  • Strong understanding of P&L management, budgeting, and cost control strategies.
  • Experience with fleet management, logistics, and scheduling optimization.
  • OSHA certification or experience with safety compliance programs preferred.
