Porter Hospitality, a division of One Workplace, works with building owners and landlords to create destinations and experiences within commercial buildings that bring them to life. We design and operate everything from restaurants and cafes to wellness centers, catering operations, retail concepts, lounges, and event spaces within each building, bringing hospitality to new and existing amenities and activating them with regular events for tenants and members of the broader community.

Compensation range: $90,000-$100,000/year

 

Location: Seattle, On-site Monday-Thursday, hybrid Friday

Position Overview

We are seeking a Business Operations Manager to join our growing hospitality team in Seattle, WA. This role is ideal for a strategic and analytical professional with a strong foundation in consulting, finance, accounting, and business operations who thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. As a key business partner, you will support financial operations while also supporting cross-functional special projects and business process implementations. You will collaborate closely with operational teams, clients, internal departments, and leadership to analyze data, implement new processes, and enhance financial reporting. Your work will directly impact the scalability and efficiency of business operations, ensuring alignment between financial strategy and overall company goals.

 

Essential Functions

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to optimize business operations.
  • Assist in scaling accounting systems, ensuring efficiency, completeness, compliance and adherence to accounting standards.
  • Conduct financial analysis & reporting to drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Develop financial models and budgets to evaluate business performance and opportunities internally and for external client engagements.
  • Build and manage accounting functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Able to maintain organization and notes by using Notion.
  • Regularly attend meetings with Shared Services while keeping notes.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work as a team cross-functionally with internal departments, clients, operational teams, and leadership.
  • Self-motivated and able to make decisions and exercise prudent judgement with minimal guidance.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to prioritize workload, adapt to changing priorities, and meet aggressive deadlines.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel mainly) with strong data analysis skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn in-house programs and adapt to various platforms and projects.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or similar.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in consulting, accounting, business operations, or similar.
  • CPA certification is preferred.
