Our client is a transformative force in the software development sector, backed by private equity and positioned for aggressive expansion. With a culture of innovation and a commitment to operational excellence, the organization seeks a strategic and results-driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to architect and execute a sophisticated financial strategy that underpins sustainable and scalable growth.

The CFO will serve as a critical thought partner to the CEO and executive leadership team, driving financial strategy, optimizing capital structures, and ensuring the financial agility required to support rapid scale. This individual must possess a proven ability to navigate the complexities of a high-growth environment, execute M&A initiatives, and deliver operational efficiencies that enhance enterprise value.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least five years in a C-suite role (CFO, COO, or CEO). This executive must bring a hands-on, execution-focused leadership style, demonstrating the ability to implement financial strategies that foster revenue generation, market expansion, and shareholder value creation.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Financial Leadership: Architect and implement a forward-thinking financial strategy that aligns with the company’s aggressive growth trajectory and private equity value-creation plan.
  • Scalability & Operational Maturity: Develop and enhance scalable financial systems, controls, and reporting structures to support multi-dimensional business expansion.
  • Capital Strategy & Private Equity Alignment: Partner with private equity sponsors, institutional investors, and financial partners to optimize capital allocation and maximize return on investment.
  • Revenue Growth & Monetization Strategies: Drive strategic initiatives that unlock new revenue streams, enhance pricing models, and optimize unit economics for long-term profitability.
  • Enterprise-Wide Financial Oversight: Oversee all aspects of FP&A, treasury, risk management, compliance, and corporate governance to ensure financial integrity and resilience.
  • Leadership & Talent Development: Build and lead a high-performing finance organization, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and data-driven decision-making.
  • M&A and Capital Markets Execution: Lead financial due diligence, integration strategies, and post-merger financial optimization for strategic acquisitions.
  • Regulatory & Risk Management: Ensure best-in-class financial compliance, tax optimization, and risk mitigation strategies aligned with both domestic and international regulatory frameworks.

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
  • CPA, CFA, or equivalent professional designation is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive finance leadership experience, with at least five years in a C-suite role (CFO, COO, or CEO).
  • Demonstrated success in scaling financial operations within a high-growth, private equity-backed environment.
  • Deep expertise in financial modeling, data analytics, and leveraging financial insights to drive executive decision-making.
  • Extensive experience in the software development, technology, and/or engineering sectors, with a strong grasp of SaaS business models, revenue recognition, and subscription-based financial structures.
  • Proven track record in leading M&A transactions, capital raising, and integration strategies.
