Base pay range

$125,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr
Summary Of Position

The Director of Sales Operations is a key leader for the Sales Support group. The Director will lead a team of managers and indiviaul contributors across Denali's global locations who are responsible for supporting the global quoting and order processing functions.

Essential Functions

  • Sales Operations Leadership & Strategy
    • Lead the Sales Operations function, including building playbooks, standardizing reporting for strategic initiatives, and providing hands-on management to a global team of Sales Operations Representatives
    • Identify and eliminate sales process bottlenecks and inconsistencies to improve operational efficiency.
    • Ensure seamless order processing including partnership with the entire RevOps and Customer Success organization to ensure seamless transition from PO receipt to order processing through to procurement.
    • Work within vendor and manufacturer deadlines, including quarter- and year-end sales cycles.
    • Drive adoption of best practices and automation to streamline sales operations.
  • Strategic Quoting & Deal Management
    • Oversee thedeal registration process, ensuring compliance with vendor programs and maximizing incentives.
    • Ensure strategic pricing and margin analysis to optimize deal profitability while remaining competitive.
    • Collaborate with finance to validate pricing, discounting, and approvals within established guidelines.
    • Work with sales teams to structure complex deals, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Order Processing & Customer Support
    • Own the end-to-end sales order cycle, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
    • Effectively manage customer escalations and sales team inquiries, escalating to leadership as needed.
    • Monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure timely execution of sales operations functions.
  • Team Leadership & Performance Management
    • Manage and develop a high-performing sales support team, ensuring they consistently meet or exceed key metrics.
    • Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance management for team members, making sound hiring and termination decisions per company policies.
    • Conduct weekly team and customer status meetings to ensure alignment and execution of priorities.
    • Foster cross-functional collaboration between sales, finance, operations, and customer success teams.
    • Work closely with finance, procurement, and accounting to resolve order issues, credit concerns, mis-shipments, or short-shipments.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee in this position frequently communicates with other co-workers/clients who have inquiries about the various projects and other needs. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. The employee must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time. The employee in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Constantly operate a computer and office machinery such as a calculator, keyboard, copy machine, and printer. Frequently moves boxes with equipment weighing up to 25lbs across the building and/or to other offsite buildings for various project needs.

Required Education And Experience

Bachelor’s Degree or years of experience equivalent

10+ years of experience

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10+ years of administrative support or order processing experience
  • Minimum of 10+ years of sales or procurement-related experience
  • Licensing/Certifications are not required; Manufacture Sales Certifications or Sales Acumen Training is a plus
  • Detail-oriented
  • Solid organizational and planning skills
  • Work well under pressure
  • Computer skills; proficient using Word, Excel, Web Portals, Databases
  • Ability to accurately enter and manipulate data tables and formulas
  • Ability to multi-task and handle consistent workflow in a timely manner
