Chief Financial Officer

A law firm in Connecticut seeks a Chief Financial Officer to direct all accounting operations and who will build, mentor, and develop the team in a collaborative work environment. Responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing firm-wide treasury functions and managing the firm’s external audit, and tax return preparations.
• Ensuring the firm’s financial systems are secure, maintained, and enhanced as needed.
• Developing and managing the preparation of financial analyses and reports on profitability.
• The Chief Financial Officer will report to the Management Committee and manage several direct reports.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree (CPA preferred) with a minimum of 10 years of finance experience in a law firm environment.
• Proven track record of leading initiatives, managing projects, and implementing process improvements.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple interests in a demanding environment.
• Excellent management, communication, and organization skills as well as strong software proficiencies, including Aderant and PowerBI.
