CFO for Wealth Management Firm

We are assisting our client, a boutique and highly regarded wealth management firm, in identifying a dynamic and detail-oriented CFO to join their leadership team in Plano, TX. This individual will serve as a strategic financial leader and trusted advisor to the executive team, with a strong background in financial advising and accounting operations. The position will ultimately succeed the current CFO upon retirement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead all accounting operations, including accounts payable, financial reporting, payroll, and partner distributions.
• Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and cash flow management to support sustainable growth.
• Manage relationships with CPA firms, banks, and vendors to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
• Track firm and advisor portfolios, including revenue reporting, commission calculations, and advisor compensation models.
• Oversee payroll, employee benefits, HR policies, and employee handbook updates.
• Maintain real estate assets, leases, and office infrastructure, including technology and IT vendor oversight.
• Lead financial modeling and due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and succession planning.
• Prepare and present financial reporting to leadership, including quarterly reviews and loan covenant compliance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA preferred
• Series 7 & 63 certifications
• 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, including financial advising experience
• Proven leadership experience in a small or mid-sized organization
• Expertise in financial modeling, GAAP compliance, and strategic planning
• Experience with QuickBooks and Raymond James systems highly desired
• Strong communication, analytical, and relationship-building skills
