You will work closely with the Chief Financial Officer and the Executive Leadership Team to shape the agency's financial strategy, ensuring financial sustainability, compliance, and operational excellence. Leading a team of financial professionals, you will oversee financial services, procurement, budget, financial reporting, performance analysis and travel management, while implementing policies and systems that enhance financial performance. This is more than just a finance role - it's a chance to lead transformation, influence key stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement across the organisation. You will be able to work autonomously under broad direction, solving challenges and ensuring the delivery of high-quality financial services and ensure compliance with government financial regulations, risk management frameworks, and best practices.

You should have strong leadership skills with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire teams and stakeholders. A deep understanding of the Australian Government financial framework, budgeting processes, and financial regulations and proven experience in financial management, planning, and strategy development.
