This role will lead the equity fundraising strategy for a pioneering PropTech investment firm, managing investor relations, deal structuring, and capital allocation. The CFO will work closely with the CEO and leadership team to build financial strategies that fuel growth, ensure regulatory compliance, and position the company as a leader in institutional-grade real estate investments.

Responsibilities

Equity Fundraising – Lead strategic planning and execution of equity fundraising initiatives, targeting HNIs, family offices, private equity firms, and real estate funds. Build a capital strategy that emphasizes equity over debt and aligns with long-term business growth.

Investor Relations – Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with investors. Present investment opportunities, manage queries, and ensure investor satisfaction through clear communication and detailed reporting.

Deal Structuring – Structure, negotiate, and close funding deals with favorable valuations and investor-friendly terms. Develop financial models and investment decks that support strategic fundraising.

Financial Strategy – Oversee financial planning, forecasting, and capital allocation. Implement innovative investment structures that drive high returns for real estate assets.

Stakeholder Management – Serve as the financial representative with internal and external stakeholders, including institutional investors, legal advisors, and regulatory bodies. Collaborate across functions to align business and investment goals.

Corporate Governance – Promote financial transparency, regulatory compliance, and best practices in governance. Oversee audits, investor disclosures, and financial controls.

Leadership – Lead and mentor the finance team. Work closely with the CEO to align financial strategies with the company’s PropTech-driven growth vision.

Business Acumen – Drive strategic financial decisions, optimize fund utilization, and support real estate product innovation through financial insights.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in equity fundraising in real estate, private equity, or PropTech.
  • Proven track record of securing capital from HNIs, family offices, private equity firms, and institutional investors.
  • Expertise in deal structuring, financial modeling, valuation, and due diligence.
  • Strong understanding of REITs, AIFs, and structured finance models.
  • Deep knowledge of RBI and taxation regulations.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA in Finance preferred.
  • Leadership experience in finance teams, with strong execution capabilities.
