$170,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr

MISSION STATEMENT:

Partners Behavioral Healthcare finds and restores individuals struggling with substance use and mental health disorders. We provide behavioral health services for justice-involved individuals that need to break free from addiction and criminal thinking, manage mental health, and take control of their lives amidst the complexities of the justice system. JOB SUMMARY:

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a highly skilled and strategic part of our executive team. The CFO will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring financial stability, and supporting the organization’s mission and growth objectives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial management within the healthcare or behavioral health sector, with a strong understanding of the unique financial challenges and opportunities in this field.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Strategic Financial Leadership

  • Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy in alignment with its mission and growth objectives.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to the CEO to guide decision-making and long-term planning.
  • Lead financial forecasting, budgeting, and planning processes, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.

Financial Management and Reporting

  • Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls.
  • Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analyses to stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.

Risk Management and Compliance

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks to safeguard the company’s assets and financial health.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and best practices in financial management, including billing, reimbursement, and auditing processes.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, regulatory agencies, and financial institutions.

Operational Efficiency

  • Drive improvements in financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and technologies that support the company’s operations and growth.

Leadership and Team Management

  • Lead and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional growth.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure financial strategies and policies support overall organizational goals.

Business Development and Growth

  • Support business development initiatives, including mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships, by providing financial analysis and due diligence.
  • Evaluate and recommend financial investments and strategies to support the company’s expansion and service diversification.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 18 years of age.
  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, preferably within the substance use disorder field.
  • Proven track record of success in financial planning, reporting, and analysis, with a deep understanding of healthcare finance, including reimbursement models and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing financial teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to risk management.
  • Knowledge of financial technologies and systems relevant to the healthcare industry.
  • Ability to pass a MN Department of Human Services (DHS) Background Study.


PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Experience with substance use disorders and mental health treatment services.
  • Familiarity with government and private payer reimbursement systems and funding sources.
  • Experience with financial planning and analysis in a multi-site and multi-state organization.
