Our client is an innovative Fitness & Wellness brand seeking a strategic and results-oriented Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their leadership team. The CFO will work closely with the CEO and COO to ensure robust financial management and oversight for the business. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and team building, with a passion for the fitness and wellness sector. This is a very exciting opportunity to join the brand as they prepare for the launch of the flagship studio in Central London.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Leadership:
– Collaborate with the CEO and COO to establish financial priorities that align with the brand’s strategic goals.
– Oversee all financial operations, ensuring effective financial management and compliance.
2. Budgeting and Forecasting:
– Develop and manage annual budgets, financial forecasts, and long-term financial planning.
– Monitor financial performance against budgets and provide insights for decision-making.
3. Cost Control and Analysis:
– Implement and maintain effective cost control measures to optimise operational efficiency.
– Analyse financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
4. Management Accounts and Reporting:
– Prepare and present management accounts and financial reports for internal stakeholders.
– Coordinate the preparation of investor financial reports and ensure transparency in financial communications.
5. Audit Coordination:
– Liaise with external auditors to ensure accurate and timely completion of audits.
– Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards.
6. Team Building and Development:
– Build and lead a finance team over the first six months to support financial operations, including budgeting, invoicing, and cost management.
– Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the finance team.
7. Oversight of External Ventures:
– Provide financial oversight for the brand’s external retreats business and manage financial relationships with UK studios and international franchisees.
– Ensure financial strategies support the growth and sustainability of all business segments.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a CFO or in a senior financial leadership role, preferably within the fitness, wellness, or hospitality industry.
Strong expertise in financial planning, budgeting, and cost control.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with a talent for presenting complex financial information to diverse audiences.
Experience building and managing finance teams is highly desirable.
Passion for fitness and wellness is essential.
