Chief Financial Officer

Purpose of role

The Chief Financial Officer reports to CEO, NPO and is responsible for planning, implementing,

managing and controlling all finance related activities of the Trust.

Responsibilities

Strategic planning

 Participates in corporate policy development as a member of the TMT.

 Responsible for risk assessment and mitigation, strategic planning and new program

development.

 Coordinates the development and monitoring of budgets.

 Develops financial business plans and forecasts in consultation with respective Project CEOs.

Financial Risk Management

 Ensure judicious utilization of funds, minimization of financial risk, adherence to budgets

and cost saving as well as compliance with regulatory norms

 To steer reserves planning and cash flow management strategy and identify potential

risk scenarios on a regular basis

Accounting and Administration

 Ensures maintenance of appropriate internal controls and financial availability of funds

when needed.

 Manages financial resources and develops strategies for investment of funds, asset

management and banking relationships.

 Ensures Trust compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

 Oversees the coordination of audits and filing of tax returns.

 Oversee the implementation of MIS across Trust.

Institution Building

 Represents the Trust with a regard to financial partners, including financial institutions,

investors, foundation executives, auditors, and public officials.

Accounting Activities

 Oversee preparation of quarterly and yearly financial statements at HO and Projects.

 Enhance and implement accounting reforms.

 Serve as a point of contact to External/ Internal Auditors.
