Chief Financial Officer

Our client is a rapidly growing, $15 million revenue SaaS business, backed by private equity, the company is in an exciting phase of growth, aiming to scale and expand its footprint in the cybersecurity sector. The business operates in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and is focused on building an operationally strong foundation to support its future success.

The company is seeking an experienced and hands-on Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to oversee all aspects of the financial operations, including strategic financial planning, accounting, financial reporting, and operational management. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in private equity-backed SaaS companies, with a proven ability to drive operational improvements, manage M&A activities, and provide leadership across the finance function during a period of rapid growth.

This position requires an individual who can balance strategic leadership with hands-on involvement in day-to-day financial operations. The CFO will play a key role in shaping the future trajectory of the business and will be instrumental in managing and scaling financial systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the company's financial strategy, ensuring alignment with its goals, while managing day-to-day operations of the finance team.
• Drive financial planning and analysis (FP&A), budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management to support decision-making across the business.
• Oversee accounting and financial reporting processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting for both internal stakeholders and private equity investors.
• Partner with executive leadership to support M&A initiatives, including financial due diligence, integration planning, and post-merger financial management.
• Work closely with private equity investors and board members, providing transparent and accurate financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Optimize financial systems and processes to support operational efficiency and scale as the business grows.
• Develop and maintain a high-performing finance team, providing leadership and mentorship to ensure continuous improvement in capabilities and performance.
• Establish and monitor financial KPIs and metrics that guide business performance and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards, including those specific to SaaS and private equity-backed entities.
• Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other key financial partners.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience as a CFO in a private equity-backed SaaS business, ideally in the cybersecurity sector or a related industry.
• Strong expertise in managing operational finance functions, including FP&A, accounting, financial reporting, and cash flow management.
• Demonstrated experience in driving M&A activities, including due diligence, integration, and post-merger financial operations.
• Hands-on leadership style with a track record of successfully scaling financial operations in a rapidly growing environment.
• Ability to work closely with private equity investors, providing clear financial insights and supporting strategic growth initiatives.
• Strong understanding of SaaS financial models, metrics, and key drivers of business growth.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior leadership, investors, and external stakeholders.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex, high-growth environments.
• Advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CPA or CFA preferred).
