Chief Financial Officer

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead financial strategy, oversee accounting operations, and drive business process improvements across multiple corporate entities. This role is ideal for a financial leader with a track record of innovation, risk management, and strategic planning in high-growth environments.

As a key member of the executive team, the CFO will be responsible for optimizing financial processes, ensuring compliance, and supporting rapid business expansion. The successful candidate will work closely with accounting teams to prevent fraud, waste, and abuse while enhancing financial reporting accuracy and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement financial strategies to support corporate goals and long-term growth.
• Oversee accounting operations across multiple corporate entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain an effective system of accounting records, financial controls, and risk mitigation policies.
• Conduct internal audits and oversee consignee account reconciliations.
• Prepare journal entries, financial schedules, and management reports.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to improve financial processes and enhance business efficiencies.
• Identify and implement business process improvements, including automation and reporting enhancements.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, financial policies, and industry best practices.
• Provide strategic recommendations based on financial analysis and forecasting.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 5+ years in high-level managerial accounting or financial leadership roles.
• Strong expertise in QuickBooks and Excel is required.
• Proven ability to manage financial risk, audits, and multi-entity accounting operations.
• Experience in process improvement, internal controls, and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
• Experience with high-growth companies, M&A, or private equity-backed businesses is a plus.

• Remote-first position with preference for candidates based in Houston, TX, to attend periodic in-person meetings.
