Chief Financial Officer

Location: Liverpool (Hybrid – Office/Remote Flexibility)

Salary: £100,000 - £150,000 (Depending on Experience)

About the Role

We are currently working with a prominent financial services company seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their leadership team. This senior role offers an exciting opportunity to drive strategic financial decision-making and lead the company’s financial management and planning. As CFO, you will work closely with the executive team to shape the financial direction of the business and ensure long-term financial success.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Financial Leadership: Lead the financial planning, reporting, and budgeting processes to ensure alignment with company goals.
• Financial Oversight: Oversee financial reporting and ensure accurate and timely submission of financial statements in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Management of Finance Team: Lead and develop a team of finance professionals, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring efficient financial operations.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring effective internal controls and compliance with relevant financial regulations.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate financial performance and strategies to key stakeholders, including the board of directors, investors, and external auditors.
• Mergers and Acquisitions: Take a lead role in evaluating and managing M&A opportunities and strategic partnerships to support company growth.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a CFO or in a senior financial leadership role, ideally within the financial services sector.
• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified, or equivalent experience with a strong understanding of financial management and strategic planning.
• Extensive experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting within a regulated environment.
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to drive financial performance and operational efficiency across a diverse team.
• Expertise in financial risk management and the ability to navigate complex financial challenges.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders.
