Chief Financial Officer

Our client is searching for a Chief Financial Officer for their office in North Houston. Reporting to the President/CEO, this position will provide executive level financial management including working with the audit firm and managing the acquisitions team. The salary range is $200,000-$225,000 per year.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Banking- Set-up, reconcile, and transfer funds between bank accounts.
• Receive customer payments and transfer to required accounts.
• Create and supervise cash flow reporting and direct responsibility for company cash requirements.
• Work with accountants to produce business statements for taxes and for LOC purposes.
• Complete financial documents quarterly for bank LOC including borrowing base calculations.
• Handle all banking wires including new supplier set-up and changes.
• Review all accounts with AR personnel and Accounting Manager.
• Set-up credit limits for customers, monitor and adjust as required.
• Initiate late payment charges as required.
• Manage AR report and review all key customer accounts.
• Work with President to update revenue and profit forecasts.
• Review sales taxes, verify proper completion and filing quarterly.
• Work with accounting firm to ensure that company taxes are completed and filed on time.
• Complete annual insurance audits.
• Review and purchase needed corporate insurance.
• Develop training and long-term growth plans for the accounting team.
• Enter payroll into accounting system, or support as needed.
• Main contact with Audit firm and assist with documentation.
• Manage the acquisitions team.
• Review all contracts for the Service department and provide insight into updates/changes, as needed.
• Oversee the gas card and corporate card programs.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in accounting and/or finance.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience as an accounting manager, CFO, or similar accounting supervisor position.
• Minimum 5 years accounting experience in a supervisory role for a company with revenue of 50-100MM+.
• Certification as a CPA preferred.
• Understand basic accounting practices for countries where business is being done.
• Understand stock and business acquisition and accounting practices.
