A great UHY client is seeking a CFO to join their team. The ideal candidate will have professional services experience, PE experience, and larger company experience.
The CFO role is an onsite position. This is a client direct hire position.
CFO: Strategic Financial Leadership:
- As part of the executive leadership team, actively contribute to the development of business strategy and strategic decision-making
- Develop and execute financial strategies, analytics, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor and measure company performance in support of its revenue and EBITDA growth objectives
- Collaborate with executive leadership and board members on providing financial insights, measuring growth initiatives, executing on M&A, integrating acquisitions, and deploying capital efficiently
- Continue to mature and evolve financial shared services operating model to support significant growth
- Develop the financial organization to scale the business to over $1 billion in revenue
CFO: Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):
- Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
- Develop financial models to evaluate performance, identify trends, and support strategic initiatives.
- Ensure the ongoing development, management, and, where applicable, further automation of financial systems, financial planning and decision support, reporting, analytics, cash and balance sheet management, controls and accounting
- Deliver regular financial reporting and KPI analysis to executive leadership and the board of directors.
CFO: Accounting & Controls:
- Oversee the accounting team to ensure timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with US GAAP. Maintain current close process of 8 business days or less.
- Ensure strong internal controls, compliance with financial regulations and lenders, and partnering with PwC for a timely and accurate audit.
- Lead the implementation of financial systems and process improvements to enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy, and manage costs as the company continues to scale
CFO: Cash Management & Capital Optimization:
- Assume leadership of the financial structure and balance sheet.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to support business operations and growth plans.
- Oversee treasury functions to ensure cash optimization.
- Manage relevant banking and financial advisor relationships; interface with investors, lenders and lessors; manage bank credit lines, loans and capital leases; ensure capital structure optimization partnering with advisors as needed.
CFO: Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A):
- Participate in financial due diligence and integration efforts related to potential acquisitions.
- Assist in underwriting and forecast modeling for late-funnel acquisition using a replicable playbook so that senior management and the board can make the most informed investment decisions possible.
- Collaborate with external advisors and legal teams during M&A transactions.
- Ensure timely integration of systems and pro forma reporting post-close.
CFO: IT Management:
- Oversee the Information Technology department, ensuring that the IT infrastructure supports business needs effectively and efficiently.
- Collaborate with IT leaders to define and implement the technology strategy, focusing on data security, system integrations, and IT scalability to support growth.
- Ensure that IT investments align with overall business objectives and drive improvements in business processes.
CFO: Human Resources Management:
- Oversee the HR department, ensuring that recruitment, retention, and talent management strategies align with organizational goals.
- Develop compensation and benefits structures to attract and retain top talent, while ensuring competitive positioning within the market.
- Ensure compliance with all labor laws and regulations, and promote a healthy work environment.
CFO: Leadership & Team Development:
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
CFO: Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA and/or CPA preferred.
- 15+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, including CFO or other senior finance executive roles.
- Professional services industry experience required, e.g. accounting, legal, insurance.
- Prior experience in a successful PE-backed company, of similar size and scale, with direct involvement in financial reporting to PE sponsors.
- Demonstrated experience working in leveraged finance and driving initiatives to improve shareholder value, including liquidity events.
- Experience driving cash management, cost control and overall EBITDA performance of a stand-alone business or autonomous business unit.
- Strong financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting and analytical skills.
- Proven track record in M&A, due diligence, and post-acquisition integration.
- Expertise in financial systems including ERP platforms, EPM tools, and data analytics tools.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to executive teams, PE sponsors, and board members.
